What is the MUT ?
The MUT is a bare bones, back to basics tractor designed to assist in many tasks - not just those pertaining to farming. It has two category zero three-point hitches to attach a wide variety of equipment.
The MUT is 4 feet wide and 10 feet long. It has ample ground clearance to avoid rocks, stumps, and ruts. It is powered by either a gasoline or diesel engine up to 20 horsepower. The rear tires are mounted on an axle attached to a hydraulic pump that powers the unit. A foot pedal is used to control speed and forward or backward direction. There is no shifting required. The MUT features two category-zero three point hitches, one under the belly and one on the rear. Both can accommodate implements such as blades, cultivators, plows, discs, planters, rakes etc. These are all available "off the shelf". Both front and back mounts have access to 540 RPM PTO to power mower decks, snowblowers, tillers. As a farmyard tractor the MUT can power augers, elevators, and fans etc. There are two pairs of quick-disconnect hydraulic ports. One is and one is in back. The front bumper is fitted with a hitch receiver.
The MUT is extremely agile. It can turn 180 degrees in a space less than 12 feet wide. Its no-shifting directional control makes it easy to maneuver in even tighter spaces. It weighs slightly over 1000 pounds and so is easily transportable on small trailers or it can be broken down into its major components which can be transported separately to be reassembled on location.
A unique aspect is its price. It is an example of form follows function and therefore doesn't have any extraneous parts for aesthetics. This keeps the price well below the competition. Lastly, the MUT is extremely serviceable. Every component can be easily accessed for repair or replacement and are off-the-shelf items.
